We started our trip in Switzerland in Lucerne. It is an excellent first destination in Switzerland. It is relatively close to Zurich, great option via train. The city itself consists of an ancient part and a modern part.
To get to the cable car station, get by train to the "Engelberg" train station, and continue according to the signs for the cable car. It is possible that the cable car ticket will be bought at a discount when buying a weekly/monthly public transportation card. Check & Verify when landing at Switzerland.

An excellent destination to combine with a stay in Lucerne. It is a high mountain, with a spectacular view. There are several cable car stations. We chose to stop at 2 stations - the last station - where there is a beautiful view and an "ice cave", as well as at the "Trubsee" station where there is a lovely lake.To get to the cable car station, get by train to the "Engelberg" train station, and continue according to the signs for the cable car.
