Mt. Carmel - Little Switzerland
May 2023

There are many possible routes for the trip in Mt. Carmel. Some are one-way only and depend on whether you have two vehicles. Since we arrived with only one vehicle, we decided to make a "round trip" trip. Arrival at the "Day Parking - Little Switzerland" (Link Here). When we arrived (Sunday) the parking lot was opened from 8 am. You should verify this before arrival. Also, apparently the entrance is paid on weekends (we arrived in the middle of the week)
The route includes a lot of climbing and ascents, so I would not recommend for very small children.
There is also a risk of slipping on rainy days, so it is not recommended after raining.

As mentioned above, we started from the Little Switzerland parking lot, there are two routes that leave from the parking lot, we chose the green route. Right near the beginning there is a fork to the observation point of the "Tsinir". It is highly recommended.
Then, after returning to the green route, you go downhill until you reach the fork. We chose to turn left towards Nahal Kalah. At some point there will be a split again. Bridge - to the right in order to watch the blooming of the white lily (note that the blooming takes place at very limited times of the year), or continue straight towards Nahal Kalah. We chose to take a short walk towards Nahal Kalach and returned.

Important note: For those who chose to turn right at the first fork, for the long route towards Oranit Cave, please note that in 2021 cave fever was discovered there. If you wish to get there, you should verify current status before entering the cave
