A trip to the French Riviera - sun, sea, nature, what more do you need?
We started our trip from the Marseille area, and this was in accordance with time constraints (the flight to Marseille arrived in the morning, while the flight from Nice left in the afternoon, so we could make the most of the days).
You can make many stops along the way, for example in the town of "Cassis". You should plan this in advance.
The first viewpoint we stopped at was "Falaises de Cassis", and the second at "Parking Du Belvédère".
You can stop in other towns along the way, but at this point we chose to get on the Autostrada and continue directly to Cannes.
The parking lot is here
Besides walking in the town itself, and among the various shops, the main attraction is upstairs - the botanical garden (Le Jardin Exotique). Besides the interest in the various plants, this is an excellent viewpoint for the entire area.
The visitor center is here. There is parking very close.
It is highly recommended to refuel at Castellane to make sure there is enough fuel for the rest of the trip, I am not sure if there are other gas stations on the route and it is a long trip
Note: There are several scenic roads in the area, some a little more dangerous than others.
From Castellane we went to Point Sublime
You can rent boats on both sides of the lake, but we chose the more southern side, here. You will have to deposit your passports until you reutrn the boat back. We rented a pedal boat, and headed towards Verdon Canyon.

Parking
If you arrive by car, you will probably want to park in one of the public parking lots. We booked a place in advance, just to be safe, so that we would definitely have a place every day. It should be noted that the parking lots themselves are significantly smaller than the parking lots in Israel. You can reserve a spot directly from the parking lot's website:Where to stay
We chose to stay in "Cannes", mainly because we wanted a little more modern hotel than the ones that were available in "Nice".From Marseille
We chose to make the trip along the sea, through landscapes. The road is partly dangerous, especially in winding areas, and without a guardrail. You can make many stops along the way, for example in the town of "Cassis". You should plan this in advance.

Cannes
Cannes has a beach, the famous "red carpet", a nice pedestrian street, restaurants and shops. All in all, a convenient point for going on a trip to the area. Prices vary greatly depending on the time of year, as well as if a film festival is currently taking place.

Nice
In Nice, it is recommended to visit the ancient part, as well as the famous fountain - "Fontaine du Soleil". In addition, there is the long "English Promenade" along the sea, and a wonderful beach. More information can be found online.
Eze
A famous town, located on a mountain, great viewpoint from above. The town is built on a hill, so it should be noted that it is an ascending walk. We found only one parking lot, at the entrance to the town, relatively small. However, we noticed that after a few rounds there is a high turnover and you can find a place. The parking lot is here

Verdon Canyon
We wanted to include some nature in our trip, and we chose to do it in Verdon. It should be taken into account that the trip day will include several hours of driving. However, the place is highly recommended. This day of the trip is divided into several partsThe town of Castellane
First, you have to reach the town of Castellane. There is a tourist information center for everything related to Verdon and the Lake of Sainte-Croix. On our arrival, we were informed that due to a dry period, not much water is flowing and therefore some of the attractions are disabled. That's why it is important to first stop at this location. To get more info about the active attrcations & how to get there. The visitor center is here. There is parking very close.

From Castellane we went to Point Sublime
Point Sublime
This is a great point where you can do several routes. We chose the simple route of 500 meters to the view point. There are signs with arrows for the different routes. There is also a hotel and a restaurant/cafe near the parking lot.
At other times, there is a flow

To The Lake
We got on the D952 road, and drove towards the lake. On the way there are several coves where you can stop for beautiful viewpoints on the lake.
Lake Viewpoint
You can rent boats on both sides of the lake, but we chose the more southern side, here. You will have to deposit your passports until you reutrn the boat back. We rented a pedal boat, and headed towards Verdon Canyon.
Returning
On the way back, we decided not to go back on the road that goes over the lake, since we realized that it is a little more dangerous, and we had enough of the twists and turns.Primark
Not too far from Nice and Cannes, there is a Primark branch. This is a shopping center with organized underground parking. The branch is here.More
There are additional relevant towns in the area, but we didn't visit them, so I didn't mention them here. If you want a longer trip, you can search for more information. The Map
